Tube well #3 – Village Kot Jaffar, Pakistan

Household Tube Well Project – Village Kot Jaffar

Location: Village Kot Jaffar, Union Council Manoorwali, Tehsil Wazirabad, District Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan

Background

For one family living in Village Kot Jaffar, access to a reliable water supply had long been a daily challenge. Without a dedicated water source at their home, the family often had to rely on external supplies or travel to nearby locations to collect water.

Water was essential for everyday needs, including drinking, cooking, washing and maintaining good household hygiene. Having to regularly collect water elsewhere required additional time and physical effort, making daily routines more difficult.

The Need

A dependable source of water was needed to make everyday life easier for the family and provide a lasting solution to their water challenges. Installing a household tube well would give the family convenient access to water close to home, reducing the need to travel to collect this essential resource.

Our Contribution

Recognising this need, Ibrahim Trust supported the installation of a household tube well in Village Kot Jaffar.

Work involved assessing the ground conditions, drilling to reach an underground water source and installing a pump system to provide convenient access to water whenever required.

The project was successfully completed in February 2021, giving the family a dedicated water source at their home.

The Outcome

Alhamdulillah, the completed tube well now provides the family with a reliable source of water just steps from their home.

The family can access water whenever needed, making everyday activities such as preparing meals, washing and maintaining household hygiene easier and more manageable.

Although the project benefits one household, its impact is felt every day. Having a dependable water supply reduces the time and effort previously spent collecting water and supports the family’s health, comfort and overall wellbeing.

Through the generosity of donors, this family in Village Kot Jaffar now has access to an essential resource that will continue to benefit them for years to come. May Allah reward everyone who contributed and make this project a source of ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah. Ameen.
