In Kani Kunda Village, the Qur’an is at the heart of community life. From a young age, children gather to learn how to recite, understand, and memorise the words of Allah, guided by their teachers and supported by their families.
Among these students are many young children with the noble ambition of becoming Huffaz, those who commit the entire Qur’an to memory. Their journey requires dedication, discipline, and countless hours of study. For many, learning takes place in modest surroundings where access to educational resources can be limited.
Recognising the importance of supporting these young learners, a Qur’an distribution initiative was carried out in Kani Kunda Village. The aim was simple: to ensure that every child studying the Qur’an has access to their own copy, enabling them to learn, recite, and memorise more effectively.
With the support of generous donors, copies of the Holy Qur’an were distributed to the students. For many children, receiving their own Qur’an was a special moment, providing them with a valuable resource that they can use throughout their studies and beyond.
These Qur’ans are now being used daily as the children continue their journey of learning and memorisation. Having a personal copy allows them to practise regularly, follow lessons more easily, and deepen their connection with the words of Allah.
Alhamdulillah, this effort is already benefiting the students and helping to create an environment where they can focus on their studies with greater confidence and consistency.
Our hope is that this initiative will support these young learners in achieving their goal of becoming Huffaz of the Qur’an, carrying the Book of Allah in their hearts and sharing its teachings with future generations.
Through the generosity of donors, the children of Kani Kunda Village have been given more than just books, they have been given a tool for lifelong learning, spiritual growth, and a pathway towards preserving the Qur’an for years to come.

In the vibrant community of Ilorin, local masjids play a vital role in bringing people together for worship, learning, and community support. Among these important places of worship is Masjid Bukhoriyy, where worshippers gather daily to strengthen their faith and connection with one another.
Like many community masjids in the area, Masjid Bukhoriyy faced ongoing challenges due to unreliable electricity. Limited power supply affected lighting, ventilation, and the comfort of worshippers, especially during evening prayers, Qur’an classes, and gatherings held during the blessed month of Ramadan.
Recognising the need for a sustainable solution, a project was undertaken to install a solar power system for the masjid. The goal was to provide a dependable source of electricity that would allow the masjid to operate more effectively and comfortably for the local community.
With the support of generous donors, the installation included solar panels, battery systems, and supporting electrical equipment to ensure the masjid could benefit from continuous and reliable power. The new system now supports lighting, fans, and other essential facilities within the masjid.
Alhamdulillah, the solar installation was successfully completed, bringing immediate benefit to worshippers attending the masjid.
Today, Masjid Bukhoriyy has a reliable and sustainable source of electricity that improves the environment for daily prayers, Islamic learning, and community activities. Worshippers can now gather in a brighter and more comfortable setting, particularly during evening programmes and warmer weather.
This project has helped strengthen the masjid’s role as a centre of worship and community life in Okeodo. Every prayer offered, every Qur’an lesson delivered, and every gathering held within the masjid continues to benefit from this lasting improvement.
Through the generosity of donors, Masjid Bukhoriyy now has a sustainable energy solution that will continue serving the local community for many years to come.

In the heart of Ilorin, the masjid serves as far more than just a place of prayer. It is a centre for worship, learning, community gatherings, and spiritual reflection for local residents.
At HasbunaLlah Masjid, worshippers regularly gathered for the five daily prayers, Qur’an lessons, and community activities. However, unreliable electricity made it difficult for the masjid to operate comfortably, especially during evening prayers and gatherings.
Limited power affected lighting, ventilation, and the overall comfort of worshippers attending the masjid. During periods without electricity, the prayer environment became challenging, particularly in warmer weather and during nighttime activities such as Ramadan prayers and Islamic classes.
To support the local community and improve the masjid facilities, a project was undertaken to install a full solar power system for the masjid.
With the support of generous donors, the installation included solar panels, battery storage, and the necessary electrical systems to provide a reliable and sustainable source of electricity for the masjid. The aim was to ensure that worshippers could benefit from proper lighting, fans, and essential electrical facilities without depending solely on inconsistent local power supplies.
Alhamdulillah, the solar installation was successfully completed, transforming the functionality of the masjid.
Today, HasbunaLlah Masjid benefits from a dependable energy source that supports daily prayers, evening worship, Qur’an classes, and community programmes. The improved lighting and ventilation have created a more comfortable and welcoming environment for worshippers of all ages.
This project is more than an infrastructure upgrade—it is an investment in the spiritual wellbeing of the community. Every prayer performed, every lesson taught, and every gathering held within the masjid now benefits from a sustainable system that will continue serving worshippers for years to come.
Through the generosity of donors, HasbunaLlah Masjid now stands as a stronger and more sustainable place of worship for the people of Okeodo and the surrounding area.

Alhamdulillah, through the support of our donors and with the help of our trusted local support partner, we were able to identify a project that would bring real and lasting benefit to the local and regional communities in Oyo and Kogi State.
During our discussions with local imams, teachers, and community leaders, one need became very clear: many Masjids and Madrasah learning centres were lacking access to essential Islamic educational curriculum materials. These centres are not only places of worship, but also places where men, women, and children come to learn their deen, strengthen their understanding of Islam, and build a stronger connection with their communities.
We realised that by supporting Islamic education, we were not simply providing books or learning materials—we were investing in knowledge, guidance, and long-term community development. Every child learning to read, every woman attending lessons, and every man seeking beneficial knowledge would become part of the lasting impact of this sadaqah.
Our original intention for Phase One was to support only 15 Masjid and Madrasah learning centres and carefully observe the impact this would create. Alhamdulillah, the response was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Community leaders expressed deep gratitude, and the demand quickly spread beyond the initial locations as neighbouring communities also requested support for their own learning centres.
Below are the centres supported:
Beneficiary Masjids in Oyo State
1. Al-Huda Centre for Arabic and Islamic studies, Oke-Amu, Oyo
2. Òkè Alebiosu Central mosque, Alebiosu Baago street Oyo

This project is a powerful example of how your donations create real change. It is not only an investment in education, but an investment in sadaqah jariyah—continuous reward through beneficial knowledge that will continue to serve communities long into the future.
