Islamic Books distribution in Osun

Alhamdulillah, through the support of our donors and with the help of our trusted local support partner, we were able to identify a project that would bring real and lasting benefit to the local and regional communities in Osun State.

During our discussions with local imams, teachers, and community leaders, one need became very clear: many Masjids and Madrasah learning centres were lacking access to essential Islamic educational curriculum materials. These centres are not only places of worship, but also places where men, women, and children come to learn their deen, strengthen their understanding of Islam, and build a stronger connection with their communities.

We realised that by supporting Islamic education, we were not simply providing books or learning materials—we were investing in knowledge, guidance, and long-term community development. Every child learning to read, every woman attending lessons, and every man seeking beneficial knowledge would become part of the lasting impact of this sadaqah.

Our original intention for Phase One was to support only 15 Masjid and Madrasah learning centres and carefully observe the impact this would create. Alhamdulillah, the response was immediate and overwhelmingly positive. Community leaders expressed deep gratitude, and the demand quickly spread beyond the initial locations as neighbouring communities also requested support for their own learning centres.

Below are the centres supported:

Seeing the clear benefit and the growing requests from both local and regional communities, we knew we could not stop there.

Alhamdulillah, due to the strong demand and the visible positive impact of Phase One, we have now made the decision to move forward with Phase Two, where we aim to support a further 80 Masjid and Madrasah learning centres Inshaa’Allah.

This next phase will allow us to reach even more families, students, and worshippers, ensuring that Islamic education continues to grow and flourish across the region. What began as support for 15 centres has now become a much wider community initiative, with the potential to benefit hundreds, if not thousands, of people for years to come.

This project is a powerful example of how your donations create real change. It is not only an investment in education, but an investment in sadaqah jariyah—continuous reward through beneficial knowledge that will continue to serve communities long into the future.

Further details regarding Phase Two and project updates will be made available soon on our website, Inshaa’Allah.

gambia zakat2

In the peaceful rural setting of Kani Kunda Village, community life is built on togetherness, faith, and mutual support. However, for many families, meeting basic needs—especially during difficult times—can still be a challenge.

During the blessed month of Ramadan, when generosity and compassion are at the heart of the season, a zakat distribution initiative was carried out to support those most in need within the village.

With the help of generous donors, zakat was distributed directly to vulnerable families in Kani Kunda. This financial support allowed households to purchase essential items such as food and other necessities, helping to ease the pressure many face in their daily lives.

Alongside the zakat distribution, food was also provided for iftar, ensuring that families had something to break their fast with at the end of each day. For many, this meant the reassurance of a warm meal during Ramadan—a time when no one should have to worry about how they will eat after a long day of fasting.

The initiative brought the community together, strengthening the spirit of care and unity that defines Ramadan. Families were able to observe the month with greater peace of mind, focusing on their عبادah and time with loved ones rather than the stress of providing meals.

Through the generosity of donors, the people of Kani Kunda Village were supported both financially and nutritionally during this special time. The impact of this effort goes beyond immediate relief—it brings comfort, dignity, and a reminder that they are not alone.

Every meal shared at iftar and every act of support given during this Ramadan continues to reflect the true spirit of giving—uplifting those in need and spreading compassion throughout the community.

Nigeria Masjid refurbishment (lloron Kwara state)

In communities across Nigeria, the masjid plays an important role in bringing people together for worship, learning, and community support. In the city of Ilorin, many neighbourhood masjids serve large numbers of worshippers every day, yet some older buildings require refurbishment to remain comfortable and functional for the community.

Working closely with local community members in Ilorin, a project was undertaken to refurbish and improve several masjid facilities so that worshippers could pray in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The renovation focused on both improving the building structure and ensuring that the masjid had the necessary facilities to serve the community effectively. One of the key improvements was the installation of solar panels and battery systems, allowing the masjid to have a reliable source of electricity. This means that lighting, fans, and other essential features can operate even when electricity from the grid is limited.

In addition to the solar system, the project included the installation of new fans and lighting, making the prayer space more comfortable, particularly during hot weather. Toilet facilities were also built, providing essential amenities for worshippers attending daily prayers and larger congregational gatherings.

The masjid itself was also refreshed and restored. The building was repainted, helping to renew its appearance and protect the structure. New windows and doors were fitted, improving both ventilation and security. Inside the prayer area, new carpets were installed, creating a clean and welcoming space for worshippers.

Through these combined improvements, the masjid has been transformed into a more functional and comfortable place of worship for the community.

By working in partnership with local residents, this refurbishment has helped ensure that the masjid continues to serve as a centre of faith, unity, and community life in Ilorin. Every prayer performed, every gathering held, and every lesson taught within its walls continues to benefit the people who rely on it.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and the cooperation of the local community, these improvements will support worshippers in Ilorin for many years to come.
