Household Tube Well Project – Muftian, Jhelum

Location: Muftian, Dina, Tehsil & District Jhelum, Pakistan

Background

For one family living in Muftian, access to a reliable water supply had long been a daily challenge. Without a dedicated water source close to their home, the household had to depend on nearby supplies, which were not always convenient or readily available.

Water was essential for everyday activities, including drinking, cooking, washing and maintaining household hygiene. Having to regularly collect water elsewhere placed an additional burden on the family and made daily routines more difficult.

The Need

A reliable water source was needed to provide the household with convenient access to water close to home. Constructing a private tube well would reduce the need to travel to collect water and provide a more dependable solution for the family’s everyday needs.

Our Contribution

Recognising this need, Ibrahim Trust supported the construction of a household tube well in Muftian in 2021.

Work involved identifying a suitable location on the property, drilling to reach the underground water source and installing a pump to provide convenient access to water whenever required.

The project was successfully completed in March 2021, giving the family a dedicated water supply close to their home.

The Outcome

Alhamdulillah, the completed tube well now provides the family with a reliable source of water just steps from their home.

The family no longer needs to make regular trips to collect water, making everyday activities such as drinking, cooking and maintaining hygiene much easier and more convenient.

Although the project supports one household, its impact is significant, providing an essential resource that contributes to the family’s health, wellbeing and quality of life.

Through the generosity of donors, this family in Muftian now has access to a dependable water source that will continue to benefit them for years to come. May Allah reward everyone who contributed and make this project a source of ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah. Ameen.
