Bringing Light and Water – Masjid Oke Odo Close, Nigeria
Masjid Oke Odo Close – Solar System and Water Well Project Location: Oke Odo Close, Apete, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria…

Location: Garawol Village, The Gambia
Garawol Village is a rural community where family, faith and mutual support play an important role in everyday life. However, some households face financial hardship and struggle to meet their essential daily needs, particularly those with limited income or challenging personal circumstances.
For vulnerable individuals and families, covering everyday expenses such as food, clothing and other household necessities can be a constant challenge.
Recognising the importance of supporting those facing financial difficulties, Ibrahim Trust helped facilitate a zakat distribution initiative to provide direct assistance to those most in need within the village.
Zakat is an important means of supporting eligible individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. It helps ensure that those facing difficult circumstances receive assistance to meet their essential needs and maintain their dignity.
In Garawol Village, vulnerable households needed additional financial support to ease the pressure of everyday living costs. There was a clear need to ensure that zakat reached those eligible to receive it, helping families manage their daily responsibilities and providing reassurance during difficult times.
With the generosity of our donors, Ibrahim Trust supported the distribution of zakat funds directly to eligible individuals and vulnerable families in Garawol Village.
Working with trusted local support, the initiative helped identify those most in need and ensure that financial assistance reached the intended recipients.
Alhamdulillah, the zakat distribution provided much-needed financial relief to vulnerable individuals and families across Garawol Village.
The assistance helped recipients cover essential household expenses, including food, clothing and other daily necessities, easing financial pressures and bringing greater stability and reassurance to their lives.
Beyond the immediate financial support, the initiative helped strengthen the spirit of compassion, generosity and community solidarity. It reminded families experiencing hardship that they are not forgotten and that the generosity of others can make a meaningful difference.
Zakat is more than financial assistance; it is a means of fulfilling an important obligation while supporting those in need, restoring dignity and helping build stronger communities.
We are sincerely grateful to our donors whose zakat contributions made this project possible. May Allah accept their zakat, purify their wealth, place barakah in their provisions and reward them abundantly. Ameen.
