Household Tube Well Project – Village Mundiala
Location: Village Mundiala, Union Council Jam K Chattah, Tehsil Wazirabad, District Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan
Background
For one family living in Village Mundiala, access to a reliable water supply had long been a daily challenge. Without a dedicated water source at their home, family members often had to travel some distance to collect water for their everyday needs.
Water was essential for drinking, cooking, washing and maintaining good household hygiene. Having to regularly collect water elsewhere required additional time and physical effort, particularly during the hot summer months, making everyday routines more difficult.
The Need
A dependable source of water was needed to make daily life easier for the family and provide a lasting solution to their water challenges. Installing a household tube well would give the family convenient access to water close to home, reducing the need to travel to collect this essential resource.
Our Contribution
Recognising this need, Ibrahim Trust supported the installation of a household tube well in Village Mundiala.
Work involved identifying a suitable location, assessing the ground conditions, drilling to reach an underground water source and installing a hand pump to provide convenient access to water whenever required.
The project was successfully completed in August 2019, giving the family a dedicated water source at their home.
The Outcome
Alhamdulillah, the completed tube well now provides the family with a reliable source of water at their home.
Family members can access water whenever needed, making everyday activities such as drinking, cooking and maintaining household hygiene easier and more manageable. No longer needing to make regular journeys to collect water has also saved the family valuable time and physical effort.
Although the project benefits one household, its impact is felt every day. Having a dependable water supply supports the family’s health, hygiene and overall wellbeing, while making daily life more convenient.
Through the generosity of donors, this family in Village Mundiala now has access to an essential resource that will continue to benefit them for years to come. May Allah reward everyone who contributed and make this project a source of ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah. Ameen.
